health: The average Nigerian lives only 46.53 years, due to the 2.6 million Nigerians infected with HIV/AIDS. Nigeria has the second most children infected with HIV: 220,000. 1.2 million Nigerian children have been orphaned due to AIDS. The infant mortality rate is 9.6%, the 13th highest in the world. Nigeria also has the highest rate of death due to malaria in the world. 53% of Nigerians do not have access to clean water.
